Is the Affordable Care Act Unconstitutional?

I know a number of you do not subscribe to much, if any, of what I've penned here on the Affordable Care Act. I do understand your position and, like me, I know you have the best of intentions. But there is the Constitution, and, as you know, it indeed restricts the powers of government.

For only the next four minutes, please try to suspend your bias and listen to Professor Foley make a case. My chief concern, as you've read, has to do with personal liberty. Oh and by the way, this would be my stance regardless of who might champion the mandate effort (it hasn't always been an entirely leftist cause)...

  1. We know at least one part of this law is unconstitutional. I do not see how even Obama's appointees can agree that compelling someone to buy anything is a power that congress has.
